Starting Location: Bartley Ranch (Schoolhouse Parking Area). Directions: Bartley Ranch Park is located off Lakeside Drive south of McCarran in south Reno. From the McCarran/Lakeside intersection head south on Lakeside about 0.4 mile and turn left (east) on Bartley Ranch Road. Go through the covered bridge and turn right to the old Huffaker schoolhouse parking lot. There are restrooms near the old schoolhouse, in Wheatland Park and in the Bartley Ranch main building.

Description: In order to facilitate your attendance at the OLLI Picnic at 11:30, I have once again selected a walk around the ranch. We will follow trails through Bartley and a small bit of Anderson Park making our best attempt not to duplicate the most recent walks except where absolutely necessary! Most of the walk is a level 2 in difficulty. The access to and from Anderson is a 3. We will return to the school house on the Flume Trail and those who wish may go up and over Windy Hill for a bit more elevation. The walk is approximately 2.5 miles.

Route Type: Loop     Elevation Gain: 154 (ft)     Difficulty: 2 (1=Easy thru 10=Very Difficult)

Event Specific Information: Since we are parking and meeting in the Schoolhouse area, you will be able to pick up your self-packed picnic supplies upon our return and either walk or drive to the pavilion reserved for OLLI (about 1/2 mile toward the amphitheater).

What to Bring: Might want to consider bringing drinking water and using sunscreen.
