Ride Sharing: North West Kohl’s Parking Lot @ 08:30 AM. Directions: 5150 Mae Anne Ave in Ridgeview Plaza

Starting Location: Tahoe-Pyramid Trail (Floriston) TH. Directions: I-80 Floriston Exit; North-West side of freeway

Description: This is a relatively new section of the Tahoe Pyramid Bike Trail and is the only portion with a boardwalk. The trail starts uphill on the boardwalk and then continues uphill with a stairway, descends with several switchbacks to the river level and then switchbacks uphill for the next two miles. On the way back, there will be a stop at the rest area for a snack and photo ops.

Distance(s): 6.0     Route Type: Out-and-Back     Elevation Gain: 900 (ft)     Difficulty: 6 (1=Easy thru 10=Very Difficult)

Event Specific Information: This year there is flora in abundance in addition to magnificent views of the roaring Truckee River.
There are no facilities. Most of the trail is in full sun.

What to Bring: Long Sleeved Shirt and Long Pants, Sturdy Hiking Boots, Hat, Sunscreen, Water, Snacks.  It is recommended to bring bug spray and a cooling neck wrap plus a change of shoes
