Starting Location: Golden Eagle Sports Complex. Directions: Take I-80 East to Exit 20 (Sparks Blvd). Turn left onto Sparks Blvd. In about 3.6 miles, turn right onto Disc Dr.At the next light, turn left onto Vista Blvd. In about 5 miles, turn right onto Homerun Dr. then a left onto Touchdown Dr. The Sport Complex will be on your left (6100 Touchdown Dr.).
Description: Starting near the Golden Eagle Sports Complex, we will walk on neighborhood paths and along wetlands of a never-completed golf course, on mostly paved/asphalt paths, enjoying views of Spanish Springs and surrounding hills. We plan to stop at a park for snack/lunch.
Distance: 6 to 7 miles, out-and-back.
Distance(s): 6.5 Route Type: Out-and-Back Difficulty: 2 (1=Easy thru 10=Very Difficult)
Event Specific Information: Wear shoes suitable for hiking on paved/asphalt/dirt trails. Layer clothing as appropriate for the weather. Bring water, snack/lunch and sun protection.
