Description: I have mapped out an approximate 12 mile hike. We will warm up our legs by hiking on a single track trail in Hidden Valley. We will leave the trail and hike in a drainage and up a canyon to a saddle. From here we will hike in Story County along a drainage. We will work our way thru canyons until we arrive back onto a Hidden Valley back country trail. Our trip will be quite enjoyable with views of Reno, Storey County, majestic cliffs, wild horses and forested hills of Pinon and Juniper trees, and of course, a few wild flowers. We will continue our hike on a lesser used trail and hike cross country to Hidden Valley peak. We will traverse to the HV rock heart where we will again have wonderful views. For those who want to see Max’s Lookout, it will add about a half mile on a steep trail.
