Event: Hoge Rd Stagecoach Total Recall loop

Starting Location: Hoge Road TH. Directions: North on N Virginia St (old US 395 N) past N McCarran Blvd. Turn left onto Hoge Rd. In about 0.8 miles, you will see parking on the right.

Description: We will hike the Stagecoach and Total Recall bike trails, a 4 mile loop, with 600 ft elevation gain. There will be mountain bikes on the trail. There are some short steep sections, no more than 30 feet in length each. Hoge road is paved, except for the last quarter mile which is bumpy, but passable if you drive SLOWLY on it.

Trails are for mountain bikes so they are a fairly gradual grade. We will hike uphill, until the top when we will hike downhill.

Distance(s): 4.0     Route Type: Loop     Elevation Gain: 600 (feet)     Difficulty: 4 (1=Easy thru 10=Very Difficult)

Event Specific Information: WILDFLOWERS! and the hills are green. No shade, so have sun block, hats, and water, and more water as the day will be warm. Bring poles if you want. Also if you like to take photos, a phone or camera. There likely will be mountain bikes on the trail. Do not expect a fast hike (HA! from me) as photographers should take advantage of the flower blooms, but we still have to keep moving.

There are no restrooms at the trail head.

What to Bring: Drinking water and snacks. Hat and sunscreen are recommended. Trekking poles may be useful.
