Starting Location: Sparks Marina Boat Ramp BL. Directions: From the McCarran Blvd.-Nichols Blvd. intersection in Sparks (0.2 mile north of the I-80/McCarran off-ramp) go east on Nichols to the roundabout. From the roundabout, go north on Howard Drive and the parking lot will be immediately on the right.
Facilities: Flush Toilet

Description: Considering upgrading or buying a kayak but you don’t know what to get? This day will give you an opportunity to try out various types of kayaks (sit on top, sit in, inflatables, etc.) Bring your kayak if you don’t mind others trying it out.
We will also try out different paddles and discuss life jackets and various ways to transport your kayak.
If you have something you want to sell bring it along to see if anyone is interested.

Route Type: Out-and-Back     Difficulty: 1 (1=Easy thru 10=Very Difficult)

Event Specific Information: We are starting at 10 so it will be a little warmer.

What to Bring: Purchase the required AIS decal from the Department of Wildlife (NDOW.ORG) located at 1100 Valley Rd; Reno, NV. Check the website or call 775-688-1500. Dress for the weather. Have your life vest (PFD), hat, sunscreen, drinking water, bug spray and snacks.
