Starting Location: Bartley Ranch (Schoolhouse Parking Area). Directions: Bartley Ranch Park is located off Lakeside Drive south of McCarran in south Reno. From the McCarran/Lakeside intersection head south on Lakeside about 0.4 mile and turn left (east) on Bartley Ranch Road. Go through the covered bridge and turn right to the old Huffaker schoolhouse parking lot. There are restrooms near the old schoolhouse, in Wheatland Park and in the Bartley Ranch main building.
Elevation: 4505     Facilities: Flush Toilet

Description: The first 2 miles will be easy and flat on the east part of the natural surface Ranch Loop trail, paved Wheatland Park sidewalks and blacktop Bartley Ranch Road. The additional 1.5 miles will be on adjacent dirt trails and blacktop around Bartley Ranch with a possible ascent on the dirt trail up to Windy Hill.

Distance(s): 3.5 or 2.0     Route Type: Out-and-Back     Difficulty: 3 (1=Easy thru 10=Very Difficult)

Event Specific Information: There are flush restrooms at the schoolhouse parking lot. Due to the possibility of stormy conditions, check announcement for possible cancellation.

What to Bring: Drinking water and snacks. Hat and sunscreen are recommended. Trekking poles may be useful.
