Double Diamond Wetlands

Thursday, February 9th, 2023

Easy 6+  Miles

Time:  No Carpooling, Smith’s parking area South Reno at 9:45 a.m.  We will leave at 10:00 a.m.

Directions:  Take 395 or I 580 South Reno to exit 28 east and turn onto South Meadows pkwy.  Continue through 2 stop lights, cross Double R Blvd and make a quick right into Smith’s parking area.  We will meet behind the Smith’s store in the south east area of the parking lot.

Hike Description:  We will be walking around the Double Diamond Wetlands on walking paths. After we go through the Wetlands we will go over to see the new Swift Sportsdome and then continue to walk around Community Pond.  Most of the trail will be dry but we could run into some patches of snow/ice!

Hike Preparations:  Layer clothing, water and snacks.
