Event: Truckee River walk east

Starting Location: Rock Park TH. Directions: The trailhead is at Rock Park – just north of the Truckee River on the west side of South Rock Blvd., between Mill St. and Greg St. in Sparks.
     Entrance/User Fee(s): 0.00     Facilities: Flush Toilet

Description: Start at Rock Park, heading east. We will walk about 1.5 miles. just past the McCarran Bat Bridge, turn around and walk back. For those of you who only want to walk two miles, I will let you know when we have completed the first mile.
There is plenty of parking.
This walk is on a wide paved path along the Truckee River on the north side of the river. The trailhead is at Rock Park—just north of the Truckee River on the west side of South
Rock Blvd., between Mill St. and Greg St in Sparks.

There is a trailer park adjacent to Rock Park.

Route Type: Out-and-Back     Difficulty: 1 (1=Easy thru 10=Very Difficult)

What to Bring: Might want to consider bringing drinking water and using sunscreen.
