Starting Location: Steamboat Ditch TH (Horseman’s Park). Directions: From I-580 take the Moana Lane exit and head west until you intersect Skyline Blvd. Turn left onto Skyline Blvd and proceed uphill to Pioneer Drive. Turn left onto Pioneer Drive and then immediately turn right into the parking area.
From South McCarran head east on Skyline Blvd and continue .8 miles downhill to Pioneer Drive. Turn right onto Pioneer Drive then an immediate right into the parking area.

Description: We will follow the Steamboat Ditch Trail upstream from Horseman’s and cross Skyline Boulevard to the trail. At about 0.4 miles the trail crosses Cashill Boulevard and at 1.0 miles it crosses Skyline View Drive. We will turn back at about 1.4 miles, where the trail again crosses Cashill Boulevard and return along the same route. The total walk will be approximately 2.8 miles.
Route Type: Out-and-Back Difficulty: 2 (1=Easy thru 10=Very Difficult)
What to Bring: Water, hat, poles, comfortable hiking shoes/boots, snack
