Event: Huffaker Park Lookout Trail

Starting Location: Huffaker Park. Directions: Take I-580 South to Exit #29 (Virginia St); make left turn. In about 0.3 miles, make a right onto E Patriot Blvd. In about 0.2 miles, make a right onto Portman Ave. In about 0.2 miles, turn left onto Offenhauser Dr. Park will be on your right.

Description: We will start at Huffaker Trail head, cross Double R Blvd and hike into the Rattlesnake Mountain range area.The trail loops around rock and sagebrush covered hills. We will be hiking on rock, gravel, dirt and pavement. Trekking Poles are recommended!

Distance(s): 6     Route Type: Loop     Elevation Gain: 400 (ft)     Difficulty: 4 (1=Easy thru 10=Very Difficult)

Event Specific Information: A winter storm is suppose to come in on Wednesday night into Thursday morning! Please, watch your emails for a possible concellation.

What to Bring: Wear shoes suitable for hiking on dirt trails with loose rocks and mud. Layer clothing as appropriate for the weather. Trekking poles for those who use them. Sun protection. Bring plenty of water, snack/lunch.
