Ride Sharing: North West Kohl’s Parking Lot @ 07:00 AM. Directions: 5150 Mae Anne Ave in Ridgeview Plaza

Starting Location: Waddle Ranch TH. Directions: Take I-80 West to Exit 188 (CA-267 E/CA-89 S). Turn left, in about 4.6 miles, turn left onto Martis Dam Rd. In about 1.6 miles there will be a locked gate (at Sailplane Way). Parking is next to gate.

Description: The trail starts fairly level with a one mile walk on a paved road across Martis Dam. After the dam, trail is dirt, winding along the side of Martis Lake, cross a dry stream which is the entrance to the preserve. We will follow Matt’s Trail up the moderately steep hill, turn left at Sawmill Road, then a short easy walk to Lake Ella. We will return to the Waddle Ranch Preserve taking Erika’s Trail back. We will relax at the picnic table and eat our lunch at the Lake.

What to Bring: Drinking water and snacks. Hat and sunscreen are recommended. Trekking poles may be useful.
