Ride Sharing: Wedge Pkwy Starbucks Parking Lot @ 08:00 AM. Directions: 18250 Wedge Pkwy in Galena Junction Shopping Center

Starting Location: Upper Jacks Valley TH. Directions: Travel 395 south, past Carson City. Take a right-hand turn on to Jack’s Valley Road. The trailhead parking will be 2 miles from 395 on the right-hand side of road, just past Jack’s Valley Elementary School.

Description: Clear Creek is a well-graded trail with ups and downs throughout the hike. The first couple of miles is in sagebrush covered hills that gradually turn into a lightly forested trail of Jeffrey Pines. Along the trail there are view of Jack’s Valley and Carson Valley with views of the Pine Nut mountain range in the distance. We will hike for approximately 4.25 miles, have a break, and then return on the same trail.

What to Bring: Wear shoes suitable for hiking on dirt trails with loose rocks and mud. Layer clothing as appropriate for the weather. Trekking poles for those who use them. Sun protection. Bring plenty of water, snack/lunch.
