Ride Sharing: North West Kohl’s Parking Lot @ 09:00 AM. Directions: 5150 Mae Anne Ave in Ridgeview Plaza
Starting Location: TRT (Brockway Summit) TH. Directions: Follow I-80 W to CA-267 exit in Truckee. Turn left and continue on 267 past the turnoff for the Northstar Ski Resort. You will pass Martis Peak Road on your left and continue to climb on 267 past Brockway Summit. Slow down as you descend. In less than 0.5 mile down from the summit you will see a Tahoe Rim Trail sign on your right and just past the sign you will find a fairly decent size parking pad. If the pad is full, park on 267 on the right.
Description: We will begin our snowshoe on the opposite side of the highway from where we park. The first mile is a steady but doable gradient with switchbacks as we climb away from the highway. After 1 ¼ miles we turn left at a spur trail where we reach a rock formation after ¼ mile. The views of the Lake from the rocks are spectacular. If the entire group wishes, we can continue on the Tahoe Rim Trail after we come down from the spur trail for some additional mileage .

Event Specific Information: The weather is predicted to be lovely with sun and only mild winds.
What to Bring: Snowshoes, Poles, Water, Snacks, Sunscreen, Sunglasses, Dress in layers.
