Starting Location: Crissie Caughlin Park. Directions: From the corner of South McCarran/Mayberry, head east on Mayberry, and make an immediate left-hand turn onto River Run Drive, and then an immediate right-hand turn onto Riverberry Drive. Drive to the end of the road to the Crissie Caughlin Parking lot.
Description: We will hike west, cross the bridge over the creek just to the west of the park, then south along the creek, cross Mayberry to Betsy Donnelly park, hike a few loops, go under McCarran, and return via Edgewater to our starting point.
This will be about a 2 mile walk — one of the shorter hikes.
There is a restroom at Caughlin Park.
Distance(s): 2.5 Route Type: Loop Elevation Gain: 100 (ft) Difficulty: 2 (1=Easy thru 10=Very Difficult)
Event Specific Information: Be prepared for a chilly morning. Walk is on paved trails, with a few dirt sections.
What to Bring: Drinking water and snacks. Hat and sunscreen are recommended. Trekking poles may be useful.
