Starting Location: Sparks Marina Boat Ramp BL. Directions: From the McCarran Blvd.-Nichols Blvd. intersection in Sparks (0.2 mile north of the I-80/McCarran off-ramp) go east on Nichols to the roundabout. From the roundabout, go north on Howard Drive and the parking lot will be immediately on the right.
Facilities: Flush Toilet
Description: Kayaking around the Sparks Marina to increase endurance before moving on to other locations.
Route Type: Loop Difficulty: 2 (1=Easy thru 10=Very Difficult)
What to Bring: For Lake Tahoe or lakes in Nevada please purchase the required AIS decal from the Department of Wildlife (NDOW.ORG) Check the website or call 775-688-1500. Dress for the weather. Have your life vest (PFD), emergency whistle, hat, sunscreen, drinking water, bug spray, and snacks.
