Starting Location: South Park Loop TH. Directions: Take I-80 to exit 13; Virginia St. Turn left (if heading east on I-80) or right (if heading west on I-80) onto N. Sierra St. In about 0.8 miles, turn left onto Putnam Dr, which bears right and becomes San Rafael Dr. In about 0.2 miles, turn right into the parking lot for the Wilbur D. May Center. The trail wraps around the parking area.
Facilities: Flush Toilet

Description: The well-marked entry to the Arboretum Loop is near the Northwest corner of the structure housing the Wilbur May Museum. Following a network of concrete, asphalt, and natural paths, the trail wanders through a variety of differently themed gardens, allowing us to see as much or as little of the botanical areas as we choose. There are park benches, water fountains, shade structures, water features, and a gazebo to enhance the walk.

Route Type: Loop     Elevation Gain: 75 (feet)     Difficulty: 2 (1=Easy thru 10=Very Difficult)

What to Bring: Might want to consider bringing drinking water and using sunscreen.
