Starting Location: Pagni Lane. Directions: From the junction of I-80 and I-580/US-395 in Reno, take I-580/US-395 south to Mt. Rose Junction (which is S Virginia and Route 431 to Virginia City), you continue south on S Virginia towards Carson City for 5 miles. You will pass a sign Pleasant Valley School on your right and go past W Laramie Drive. You will see a sign Rawhide Lane go past that to your first right onto Pagni Lane. We will be parking right at Pagni Lane and S Virginia.

Description: On our hike we will be following the Old V&T Right Of Way to Old Washoe City. We will see neat rock formations, Native American sites, Toll Roads, Mining Camps, a foundation to an Old Mill and Pagni’s Pond along the way. We will be going over some rocks, sand and cross a small creek. Trekking Poles are recommended!

Distance(s): 6.0     Route Type: Out-and-Back     Elevation Gain: 320 (ft)     Difficulty: 3 (1=Easy thru 10=Very Difficult)

What to Bring: Wear shoes suitable for hiking on dirt trails with loose rocks and mud. Layer clothing as appropriate for the weather. Trekking poles for those who use them. Sun protection. Bring plenty of water, snack/lunch.
