Starting Location: Paradise View Drive TH. Directions: Take I-80 E to NV-445N/Pyramid Dr. About 10.4 miles, turn right onto Horizon View Dr. Then a quick right onto Paradise View Dr. Trailhead is at the end of the cul-de-sac.
Description: We will hike to the top of the volcanic sugarloaf, part of Washoe County Regional Parks. The hike starts with two miles of mostly level and easy hiking along a dirt road. The last mile to the top of the peak is steeper and rocky, and winds around the hillside, with nice views of Spanish Springs. Total elevation is about 800 feet, and length of the hike is 6 miles.

What to Bring: Wear shoes suitable for hiking dirt trails with loose rocks. Layer clothing as appropriate for the weather. Trekking poles, sunscreen, insect repellent. Plenty of water, snack/lunch.
