Due to the cancellation of the Wednesday, March 1 OLLI Walkers event, the Monday Light Hikers will hike a similar area through Mira Loma Park and along the Boynton Slough for a distance up to approximately 4 miles.  Walkers can sign out for a shorter distance if desired.

Mira Loma Park is a 37.5-acre Reno park that includes hikes through the park and is adjacent to the Dry Creek Trail (very wet) and the entrance to the 0.7 mile out and back Boynton Slough Trail.  From the park we will take the slough trail east to a gate where we will turn around and return to the park to hike our final distance around the area. Abundant waterfowl is usually visible on this hike.

DIRECTIONS:
Mira Loma Park is located at the corner of South McCarran Blvd and Mira Loma Drive. From South McCarran turn East on Mira Loma Drive then turn left into the Mira Loma Park parking lot.  Park at the far north end of the parking lot near the tennis courts. There are seasonal restrooms (Probably CLOSED!) in the park. The hike will start at 9:30. Arrive by 9:15.
