Starting Location: Comstock History Center. Directions: Take I-580 South to exit 25B (Virginia St. South). In about a mile, make a left turn onto NV-341 E (towards Virginia City). In about 13 miles, turn left onto D St. In about 0.2 miles, turn left onto E St. Go to the intersection with Union St. (20 E St.)

Description: The light hike will begin at the Comstock History Center parking lot in Virginia City. Jim Bonar will be giving us an interesting and detailed history lesson as we proceed. We will begin by walking through the Virginia City and pioneer cemeteries. The walk on Virginia City’s streets will include many Virginia City historic buildings. The difficulty of the streets is moderate to easy, but there are some short steep hills. The total adventure will be around 3 miles.

Event Specific Information: If you would like to stay in Virginia City for lunch, plan ahead with your carpool.
What to Bring: Drinking water and snacks. Hat and sunscreen are recommended. Trekking poles may be useful.
