Starting Location: June Lake. Directions: From the junction of I-80 and I-580/US-395 in Reno, take 395 South for about 34 miles. 395 turns but stay on 395 South for another 115 miles. Turn right onto 158 S June Lake Loop. Go 2.5 miles to the June Lake campground. Follow it to the boat launch.

Description: We will kayak June Lake which is near Mammoth. This event will likely require an overnight stay. This will be occurring during the Olli Eastern Sierra Adventure which should be very fun. Please be sure your reservations are cancelable in case the event gets canceled. June Lake is on the June Lake Loop which is a beautiful area. June Lake has a kayak rental location on the lake. If everyone who signs up brings their own kayak we may want to switch to Silver Lake which is just down the road.

Route Type: Loop     Difficulty: 3 (1=Easy thru 10=Very Difficult)

What to Bring: Purchase the required AIS decal from the Department of Wildlife (NDOW.ORG) located at 1100 Valley Rd; Reno, NV. Check the website or call 775-688-1500. Dress for the weather. Have your life vest (PFD), emergency whistle, hat, sunscreen, drinking water, bug spray and snacks.
