Crissie Caughlin Park to Caughlin Ranch

Meet at Crissie Caughlin parking lot at 9:30 a.m., to start at 9:45 a.m.  We will hike from Crissie Caughlin Park on asphalt trails  and sidewalks to Caughlin Ranch trails.  The trail is on the inside section of the Caughlin Ranch homes, with several frozen ponds along the way.  It is a gradual uphill climb, including a loop offshoot.  Total, out-and-back, is about 8 miles.  As of Sunday, 2-12-23, there are a few icy spots in the shaded areas.  We will walk cautiously or around these patches.

There are open restroom at Crissie Caughlin Park.

Hike Preparation:
Wear shoe suitable for asphalt trails
Trekking poles, if you use them, but not needed
Layer clothing for change in weather conditions
Sun protection
Plenty of water and snack

Directions:
From the corner of South McCarran/Mayberry, head east on Mayberry, and make an immediate left-hand turn onto River Run Drive, and then an immediate right-hand turn onto Riverberry Drive.  Drive to the end of the road to the Crissie Caughlin parking lot.
