CHICKADEE RIDGE, 1-11-21 Floyd led 19 snowshoers on a 3 mile hike to Chickadee Ridge overlooking Lake Tahoe on the 1st snowshoe hike of the year. Galena Rec Area 3-4-19 To view photos taken by Harry Barnett click HERE TAHOE RIM TRAIL to PICNIC ROCK, 1-14-19 On a day in the mid 30's, Naomi led 7 snowshoers on a 3+ mile hike through the pine forest to Picnic Rock. At this summit was a spectacular view of Lake Tahoe. MT ROSE CAMPGROUND, 4-2-18 A low-key, moderately-paced ramble through the campground and surrounding areas, on mostly packed snow. Including over to the edge of the ski run to watch skiers and snowboarders. CHICKADEE RIDGE, 4-22-17 12 snowshoers (exluding the snowman) snowshoed 2.3 miles on a cold & windy Spring morning. GALENA PARK, 3-11-17 11 Snowshoers, 3.5 miles in 60 degree temp. SPOONER LAKE, 3-1-17 13 snowshoers hiked 3.2 miles around Spooner Lake on a sunny day. Afterwards, we lunched at El Charo's Mexican Restaurant, and birthday girl Sue Buckmaster graciously shared her fried ice cream dessert with all (it made it around the table, twice). STEAMBOAT HILLS, 1-7-17 4 "crazy" snowshoers ( Rick, Harvey, Mary n Floyd ) hiked 4 windblown, snowy miles. « ‹ of 2 › »
