Starting Location: Bartley Ranch (Schoolhouse Parking Area). Directions: Bartley Ranch Park is located off Lakeside Drive south of McCarran in south Reno. From the McCarran/Lakeside intersection head south on Lakeside about 0.4 mile and turn left (east) on Bartley Ranch Road. Go through the covered bridge and turn right to the old Huffaker schoolhouse parking lot. There are restrooms near the old schoolhouse, in Wheatland Park and in the Bartley Ranch main building.
Elevation: 4505     Facilities: Flush Toilet

Description: We will walk the Ranch Loop trail which is a smooth, hard-packed soil path and then go up and over Windy Hill for a distance of approximately 2.5 miles total. Those who do not wish to do Windy Hill, an elevation gain of 154′, may either return to the starting point for a total of 1.44 miles or do the Ranch Loop on flat ground twice around for a total of 2.88 miles.

What to Bring: Might want to consider bringing drinking water and using sunscreen.
