Ride Sharing: Wedge Pkwy Starbucks Parking Lot @ 08:00 AM. Directions: 18250 Wedge Pkwy in Galena Junction Shopping Center

Starting Location: Kings Canyon TH. Directions: Take I 580 South through Washoe Valley. As you come down the hill to Carson City, stay in your right lane and get off at Exit 8 N Carson. You will be staying on Old 395/Carson Street going south through Carson City. Continue through town until you get to the State Capitol on your left. At the stoplight you will make a right on Musser, go up 3 blocks to N Division St, and make a left. Go down a couple of blocks until you come to W King St and make a right. Continue West about 2 miles to the Kings Canyon parking area.

Description: The first mile and a 1/2 we will be on the Old Stagecoach/Freight Road to Lake Tahoe. We will hike to the Lower Falls first then gradually climb 3 miles to the Upper Falls. You will see some wild flowers along the trail and the meadows are beautiful this time of year.

Event Specific Information: Trekking Poles, Insect Repellent & a light rain coat is recommended for our hike!

What to Bring: Wear shoes suitable for hiking on dirt trails with loose rocks and mud. Layer clothing as appropriate for the weather. Trekking poles for those who use them. Sun protection. Bring plenty of water, snack/lunch.
