Starting Location: Pah Rah Interpretive Trail TH. Directions: Take I-80 west to Vista Blvd (Exit 21). Drive north on Vista Blvd for 7.5 miles to Golden Eagle Regional Park. Turn right and follow Homerun Drive to Hans Berry Road. Follow Hans Berry Road past the ball fields to the trailhead parking area. The restrooms are closed during the winter season.
Description: The hike will begin on a short paved interpretive path. We will continue on a dirt road for a short distance before starting on the Pah Rah Trail. The trail begins with a gradual ascent before starting a more strenuous series of switchbacks. The trail will be rocky in various locations. At the top, we will have great views of the Truckee Meadows, the Sierras, and Spanish Springs Valley. After a brief stop at the top, we will continue southeast on the Pah Rah Trail and loop around to approach Canoe Hill from the west side. This trail will take us back to the top of Canoe Hill where we will have our lunch.

What to Bring: Wear shoes suitable for hiking dirt trails with loose rocks. Layer clothing as appropriate for the weather. Trekking poles, sunscreen, insect repellent. Plenty of water, snack/lunch.
