Snowshoe – Tahoe Meadows

Ride Sharing: Wedge Pkwy Starbucks Parking Lot @ 08:15 AM. Directions: 18250 Wedge Pkwy in Galena Junction Shopping Center

Starting Location: TRT (Tahoe Meadows – Interpretive) TH. Directions: Take I-580 South to NV-431 (Mount Rose Hwy). After the Summit, in about 0.8 miles, on the left, you will see a pullout and a USFS sign.

Description: This will be an out and back taking the trek from the parking area around the meadows area to a treeline, up a slight hill, back down to the meadows and back to the parking area.

Distance(s): 3.0     Route Type: Out-and-Back     

Event Specific Information: Parking will be in a cleared pullout on the southside of Mt Rose Hwy next to the parking lot shown on Google Maps as Tahoe Meadows Tahoe Rim Trail Trailhead. The parking lot itself is snow covered and the gate is closed. Park in the cleared pullout near the parking lot.
Snow is highly reflective on sunny days. Use sunscreen and wear sunglasses.

What to Bring: Snowshoes, Poles, Water, Snacks, Sunscreen, Sunglasses, Dress in layers.
