Ride Sharing: North West Kohl’s Parking Lot @ 08:30 AM. Directions: 5150 Mae Anne Ave in Ridgeview Plaza

Starting Location: Tahoe-Pyramid Trail (Farad LH) TH. Directions: Take 80-west to exit 201 Farad, use the exit as a “U” turn place to head back east on 80. There is a large dirt parking area along the right-hand side of the highway in 1.2 miles.

Description: We are going to hike a portion of the Tahoe-Pyramid trail from 1.2 miles east of the Farad exit to the bridge. The trailhead is about 20 miles west of Reno. The trail winds around Jeffrey and Ponderosa Pines as well as manzanita, bitter brush, sage, etc. along the river. It is a dirt and rock trail that undulates but is not strenuous. There is one railroad crossing.

Event Specific Information: Sunscreen recommended as this trail is mostly full sun. There should be lots of wild flowers!

What to Bring: Drinking water and snacks. Hat and sunscreen are recommended. Trekking poles may be useful.
